About
I'm Ulysse Corne. I'm doing an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon (GPA 4.0, graduating December 2027), in a double degree with CentraleSupélec in Paris, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in 2024.
I'm looking for a Summer 2027 internship in firmware, embedded systems, hardware or power electronics.
What I've done
- CMU MetaMobility Lab, Graduate Researcher, Pittsburgh, since September 2026. Sensing hardware, firmware and on-device ML inference for exoskeletons.
- Tornyol (YC F25), Hardware Engineering Intern, Paris, May to August 2026. A drone flight controller PCB, a 20 A supercapacitor charger and its firmware, and ToF sensor bring-up.
- Withings, R&D Engineering Intern, Paris, February to July 2025. Audio ADC drivers and a wake-on-sound pipeline for snoring detection on a smartwatch.
- Withings, Industrialization Engineering Intern, Paris, September 2024 to January 2025. Computer vision and test jigs on a production line.
- TartanHacks 2026, first place in the Capital One sponsor challenge, with a team of 4. I wrote the backend.
Details are on the experience page.
Tools
- Embedded: C, STM32 (including the N6 and its NPU), nRF52, Teensy, I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, FreeRTOS, SWD, C2.
- Hardware: KiCad, LTspice, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, thermal camera, power analysis.
- Software: Python, Bash, Linux, Nix, TensorFlow Lite, OpenCV.
Outside work
I run and cycle, I DJ, and I shoot analog film.

All six are shot on film.
I ran the Pittsburgh Marathon in May 2026, in 3:58.
