In 2019, when I was 17, I turned a bamboo longboard into an electric skateboard, heavily inspired by the Boosted Board.

I built the battery myself: a 12S2P pack of 18650 lithium-ion cells, 44.4 V nominal, joined with a spot welder and protected by a BMS I sourced from AliExpress. It sits under the deck. A FOCBOX Unity drives the motor on the rear wheels.
